The Costa Blanca has an excellent selection of well protected modern
marinas with all the facilities you need to moor and maintain a boat all year round.
There are over 200 kilometres of coast line to explore and enjoy the
breathtaking scenery, coves and beaches.
There are protected nature reserves which can only be visited by boat such as
Taberca Island and Benidorm Rock.
Ibiza and Formentera are close to main land Costa Blanca and are well known as
Boating Paradise and for being safe to anchor over night without having to enter a Marina.
All major towns along the Costa Blanca have boat engineers should you need any repair work.
The cost of keeping your boat on the Cost Blanca is determined b the length and
beam of the boat, you will find that most marinas will lease you a mooring on a 12
month basis which usually work out a lot cheaper than the UK. There are some marinas
that do charge extra for electricity and water so do check that when making your booking.
It is also possible to buy a mooring however they tend to be expensive and the opportunity
doesn't arise too often.
All of the marinas on the Costa Blanca have yacht brokers to charter or buy boats.
You will find a good selection of franchised main agents in Alicante and Denia with new
and used boats in stock. It is also possible charter a small boat from as little as €400
a day however if you do not have your skippers licence you will have to hire a skipper.
If you are using your boat in Spanish waters you will need to carry the ships papers and
insurance at all times. The minimum qualification required (as a British Passport holder) is
an ICC issued by the Royal Yachting Association in the UK.
